In Bengal, the situation became even more devastating as the COVID-19 pandemic collided with the destructive force of Cyclone Amphan. Lives were disrupted, homes were destroyed, and thousands were left struggling for survival.

It was during this time that Sahajiya emerged—not just as an organization, but as a symbol of compassion and action.

While fear and uncertainty spread everywhere, a small group of determined individuals stepped forward with a simple belief: no one should be left behind. What began as a heartfelt initiative soon turned into a growing movement, reaching people who had lost access to even the most basic necessities of life.

From distributing food, medicines, and hygiene essentials to providing clothes and masks, Sahajiya worked tirelessly on the ground. But the mission didn’t stop at relief—it extended to rebuilding lives. In places like Sandeshkhali and Hingalgunge, the focus shifted towards sustainable support through livelihood initiatives such as vermicomposting, fish feed distribution, and plantation drives.

Sahajiya also stood beside those often forgotten—acid attack survivors, orphans, and street dwellers—offering not just aid, but dignity, care, and hope.

Every step of this journey has been driven by one vision: to uplift the neglected, empower the underprivileged, and restore faith in humanity.

Today, Sahajiya continues to grow, powered by people who believe that even the smallest act of kindness can create a ripple of change.
